Power & Motor

The GTS1031 is corded, requires 120 V, and draws 15 amps. Standard U.S. residential circuits are 120 V, 15 A, which will support the.

The DCS7485 is cordless and runs on 60 V batteries.

The GTS1031 has a motor that spins at 5000 rpm and the DCS7485 has a motor that spins at 5800 rpm. You shouldnt get too caught up in the RPM numbers, since the manufacturers test them under ideal conditions, so they dont have a meaningful correlation with the saws real-world capability to handle various types of material.

Blade Compatibility

Both saws have a 5/8 arbor. The GTS1031 takes 10 diameter blades. The DCS7485 accepts 8 1/4 diameter saw blades. 10 is the most common diameter of table saw blade, so it shouldnt be a problem to find a large assortment of blades for any purpose. Most 8-to-10blades have a 5/8arbor hole, so this size of arbor provides a lot of choices.

The Bosch takes dado blades up to 5/8 thick. The DeWalt doesnt accept dado blades. If youre a woodworker, this could be a significant shortcoming. If you might want to use dado blades, you might want to look at a different model.

Size & Capacity

The Bosch has 18 of rip capacity on the right side of the blade and has 8 1/2 of rip capacity on the left of the blade. The DeWalt has 24 of rip capacity on the right side and has 12 of rip capacity on the left. As a rule, more rip capacity is better, but it often also means a larger and heavier saw. Think about how big of rip cuts youll be making to help choose the right size saw for you.

The GTS1031 can bevel its blade up to 47°, can cut up to 3 1/8 at an angle of 90°, and is able to cut up to 2 1/4 deep at a 45° angle. The DCS7485 will cut up to 2 1/2 at 90° and can cut up to 1 3/4 deep at an angle of 45°.

The table on the Bosch is 22 1/2 wide and 20 deep. The table on the DeWalt is 22 3/4 wide and 22 3/4 deep.
